Minister Serita Acker has been called by God to teach God's word. She has taught at various conferences and church settings to promote the Gospel.  She accepted her call to the ministry in March 23, 2009.  She is a Licensed and Ordained Minister at New Holly Light Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor, Dr. Curtis Hill in Anderson, SC. She is also a certified Life Coach. 
 
Minister Acker teaches in NHLs Sunday School ministries.  She has taught all ages, but she is currently teaching the Women's Sunday class. She has a passion and heart for the women of God. She is the wife of Ronald G. Acker (for over 30 years) and the mother of two daughters, Brittany and Courtney.  They reside in Williamston, SC.
 
Serita is employed with Clemson University as the  Executive Director of the Programs for Educational Enrichment and Retention and Women in Science and in the College  of Engineering Computing and Applied Sciences She also holds the position of an Adjunct Instructor at Tri-county Technical College in the Business and Technology Department and Lander University. She grew up in Anderson, SC and attended Spartanburg Methodist College where she obtain an AA in Liberal Arts, and Lander University, where she graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration. She earned her Master’s in Human Resources from Clemson University.

 

Minister Acker believes her call is to uplift the broken heart and rejected.  She believes that God call her to minister to give hope after traumatic experiences.
