Cast It Down!
2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV)
"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalt itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ"
Recently, I went to the doctor and he told me that he wanted to do more testing because he saw something abnormal in my body. Of course, through the testing process, worry, doubt, and fear came over me. I had to cast down the thoughts of a terminal illness or even death. It was a month before I got through the tests and returned to the doctor. He confirmed all was well.
But, my imagination ran away with me.
What I learned through this process is that I always need to hold on to what knowledge I have of God, because the enemy desires to steal my peace, joy, and all faith that I have in God.
The battle is in our minds and won by believing God. Had I not got good news after all the testing was completed, I had to decide that I would still believe God for my healing because he loves me and I believe that he is a healer and deliverer.
So, therefore, I learned to cast down every bad thought that goes against my knowledge about God and make up my mind to obey the word.
